Advent Calendars

Advent calendars, which have been around since the 19th century, are a great way to count down the days to Christmas. The advent calendar starts on the first day of December and goes through Christmas Eve. In the past, advent calendars have been done as chalk drawing or even by lighting candles. It is more common to see a wooden, fabric, or even cardboard calendar to count the days until Christmas.

Wilmot Heritage Antiques & Gifts carries wooden Byers’ Choice advent calendars of many different designs, which have little doors where small items can be placed. There are many calendars that contain chocolate or even have something that an adult or a child can move from day to day.  The wooden advent calendars can be used in many different ways. Even small objects in each compartment/door can be used each year. It is up to you how it is used and what you want to see. It can be changed up every year and enjoyed year after year.  These wooden calendars are about 15 inches in height or more, making a perfect size for the house.  They are beautiful in homes, as gifts, and treasured throughout the years.  The Advent calendars will make memories that last year after year.
