Ceramic Wall Plaques

Cook Books

Cook books bring back memories of the past.  I remember my mother and grandmother always using cook books.  They even had their favorites.  After they tried a recipe they would make notations on how to change and improve it or whether it was good and they wanted to use it again.  Whether it is Betty Crocker with her easy dishes, fondue, cupcakes, favorite cookies, healthy eating, vintage cook books or Martha Stewart with party delights, consider adding a cook book to your collection!  They are hands on and something special to share over time and with the generations.  Consider putting a photo or two in them to share experiences with other generations.

Frames and Teacups!

Display memories!  Beautiful handmade picture frames for many occasions.  Graduation, family, baby, dog and cat frames are available.  They are perfect for gift giving or adorning the home.  The wood design compliments a picture and adds a warm feeling wherever you choose to display it.  Consider making a picture wall with photos of family members and family pets.  Display the photos sitting in photo albums.  Photos mark the passage of time with many stories to tell.  Display the pictures in rows, clusters, or various groupings.  Make the memories last.

Tea Time!  Inviting friends and family over?  Maybe a special party with girl friends of all ages!  Enjoy the afternoon tea with beautiful bone china tea cups.  Mix and match with different designs, elegant floral patterns and more.  Each cup is unique and beautiful!  Sip with earl grey, oolong, chamomile or a favorite tea blend.  There are so many teas to choose from.  Bring back the memories of a relaxing time spent with good friends.
Tea consumption increased dramatically during the early nineteenth century.  Afternoon tea began when Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford supposedly complained of "having that sinking feeling" during the late afternoon. During this time period, it was usual for people to take only two main meals a day, breakfast, and dinner at around 8 o'clock in the evening.  So, tea time began in the afternoon with a pot a tea and a light snack, usually taken privately in a boudoir during the afternoon.  This gradually changed to tea time with friends in the drawing room.  What a lovely way to spend an afternoon!
